Hannah Levintova is an Assistant Editor at Mother Jones, based in San Francisco, California. She writes and edits stories about tech, gender politics, poverty, and criminal justice with a focus on gun policy. Before going West, Hannah worked on the news desk at NPR in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Monthly, and for a stint as a FOIA processor at a federal agency. Her story about stealth gun lobby tactics after Newtown was part of a package that won a 2014 Online News Association award, and she was a 2014 John Jay College of Criminal Justice/ Tow Foundation Juvenile Justice Reporting Fellow. She is a graduate of Brown University.
